Students will have vocabulary quizzes every other week. Please help you child study these words at home. Suggested Activities:
  • Set aside a small window of time to talk about the words (at the dinner table, driving in the car, etc.)
  • See how many of this week's vocabulary words can be used in conversation.
  • Use strips of paper to create a sentence using each vocabulary word. Cut the sentence apart, mix them up, and see if your child can build the sentence again.
  • Use strips of paper to write the definition of each vocabulary word. Cut the sentences apart, mix them up, and see if your child can build the sentence again.
It is helpful if the student prepares the sentence and definition strips.
